200 years ago the famous priest Sebastian Kneipp was born in Ottobeuren. On the occasion of this event the local community highlighted several hiking trails “Glückswege” following Kneipps footsteps. One of these trails leads through the property of artist Erich Schickling (1924 – 2012) who built a fascinating areal at the banks of the river Günz. It seems that he created this place not only to showcase his art but also to welcome hikers, artists, musicians and everyone who is interested in culture. I was asked to visualize the “Erich-Schickling-Stiftung” in a map in order to guide visitors through the areal.
